Hello, my name is Billy, I am owner, skipper & tour guide for Minch Adventures.

I was raised on Scotland’s west coast, and I’ve spent the bulk of my life on or around the sea. I’ve been a skipper for 30 years, logging countless hours on our local waters. I have a strong fondness for our breath-taking coastlines, natural heritage, wildlife, fishing, and unique dining experiences. I saw an opening in the industry for a more individualised experience for tourists visiting the Highlands, so I bought a charter vessel and launched Minch Adventures to spread my passion of the region’s hidden gems. We operate in the most desirable locations of the Highlands and Islands, so rest assured that we are far from the too commercialised Scotland of today.

We have created a unique and specialist private charter  service that is unmatched in Scotland over the years. We make every effort to treat you and give our guests travel experiences they won’t soon forget. We make each trip unique by paying attention to your needs and adjusting the itinerary as necessary. From grandparents to young children, our extensive selection of itineraries accommodate all ages. On occasion, my wife Eileen joins us every chance she gets,  she has an infectious personality and is an excellent cook.

Colin Biddulph, our walking guide and part-time crew member, has served in the Army, the Police Force, and as a teacher of Geography. He has been a qualified Mountain Leader for 30 years and has led groups throughout the Scottish hills as well as on youth expeditions in remote mountainous areas around the world. As our guide on our walks, he will be responsible for route finding, your safety, and providing information about the history and natural history of the areas we visit.
